moments in pics. - hong kong.

don't feel like sleeping now so i decided to post up something which i have promised for quite a long time. lol. so here are some of the pics from my HK trip, just by viewing them in iphoto makes me cry. and again click on them for a larger view. have fun.

last view in macau. the ferries will take you to HK island, Kowloon
and some other area every hour. !!?

we were over with macanese cuisine. first meal at the ferry terminal.
it was so damn good ey. the squabs were *thumbys up!*

on the express train to HK international airport to pick up thing-jeh.
god it was fucking expensive. but very comfy though.

first dimsum in HK. it was ok. perth is better i guess.

within the Mongkok district. and for guys, the plaza on the right sells
damn cheap trendy fashion!

bouquets of flowers ready for valentines day. and they somehow
made a news complaining how the recession has affected lovers not
buying flowers for their loved ones. LOL.

花园街market at Prince Edward. and guys, 女人街 is so OUT.

shark fin buns. no kidding ey. there was a chunk of it.
probably fake but oh well, just AU$2.

abalone buns. didn't have time to try this though.

the longest escalator that brings you from L1 to L8.
no kidding. HK is so serious.

Mongkok at night. the place that i loved so much yet,
scared at the same time.

at Tsim Tsa Tsui around 11am. seriously i don't know
where all these people come from. =______=

me being bored.

fishies for sale in all sorts of colours. lol.

fong yeut tong serves the best tea. ever.

crepe-like dessert at fong yuet tong.
it. was. so. fucking. nice.

mini iphones. how the hell did they come up with that?
i was pretty tempted to buy the pink one though. =)

scenic view of Hong Kong island from The Peak.
in shit quality.

i was deeply impressed by the interior design of the airport.
it looks so CAD.

argh. i wanna do architecture right now.

oh god. i've finally posted them up. lol. looking back right now, i do miss HK. whenever i work, my manager reminds me of HK, my colleagues reminds me of HK, and the food reminds me of it too. but i have to admit that HK was the ultimate holiday destination for this year. we initially planned to go to Japan but that was screwed up. we then thought of Korea, then Thailand and somehow Russia (?). lol.

HK was the shopping haven for us full-time shoppers, eaters haven for us born-to-eat lovers, and also for those who love to exercise. it may sound weird since you may think that HK is so over populated that you can't move much... you're WRONG. HKers walk so damn fast like their in a rush for some cheap porn spree or something.

the one thing that i miss in HK is how all the shop attendants, ALL of them would greet you with the same style : “欢迎光临,慢慢睇。” and after 2 seconds: “慢慢睇”. i couldn't stop mimicking them ey. it was funny. well, for us cantonese speakers. =)

alright, thats all for now. need to go to bed. lol

yew.

urgh... phonology has never been this tough.

especially when you're analysing a bunch of words from Australian Aboriginal languages.

[petepetepetepeptepepte]

moments in pics. - macau

so here are the photos of my most recent trip to macau and hk. i know its a bit late but enjoy. i uploaded them in smaller size so that it saves space. =) click on them for a better larger view. ;)

my favourite casino - Grand Lisboa.

the architectural design is simply over-breathtaking.
and that ball thingy lights up like crazy at night!

the statue of goddess? didn't get too close to it but it looks hot.
it was sculptured really well though.

we were amazed by the rules that has to be abided in the park.

at the tourist attraction towards St. Pauls church.

Ruins of St. Pauls church. aka 大三巴. lol. gotta love that.

nice.

Grand Lisboa was too huge for me.

my very best friend. portuguese local eggtarts.

that's actually the entrance of the restaurant.

at Largo do Senado, where local delicacies and shops emerge.

downtown macau. it somewhat felt like europe. =)

view over airport tower and bridge to taipa.

another grand casino - Wynn.

inside venetian casino. it was damn european.

old town style inside the casino. with man-made rivers.

my favourite portuguese dish. some sort of clam thing.

so there you go guys. photos taken from my trip to macau in feb. i certainly miss macau since i haven't actually travelled extensively and more in fine detail. macau isn't only about gambling your balls off in casinos, but exploring the city's history, culture and food is more important. to me that is. yet 2 days of rushing around the city and islands has surely proved its charm to me. especially its local cuisine and cultures. i will be back real soon... =)

i love webct long long time since i finally get to catch up my uni workload. lol.

8.3.09

lol.

who the hell uses a fork and knife to eat steam rice?

gahh.. work pisses us all off and i still need to catch up on uni workload. =)

1st few shots.

talking on the phone with yt while i was focusing on taking some photos in the garden. also asked her some tips and Qs on the slr cam. hope you guys enjoy it. lol. don't forget to click on them so that you get the full quality view. ;)

can't be stuffed naming all the photos like 'vividly pink i-duno-wat-flower blossoming on the chilled wet concrete ground' or something.

alright. back to study now.

3.3.09

ta. da.

under the influences of yt and jonathan during my trip in hk, photography was the main thing to do while travelling around. so yt bought her new big-chunky-ass slr cam after listening to jonathans advice, i would then snatch it over for a few shots.

i have to admit that slr cams are really different to normal pocket digicams. they offer a whole new perspective of the photography world, where quality, difference and of course the feel of professionalism comes to hand.

so i realized that it was time to get a slr digi cam for myself, as i also take photos regularly as my hobby. and here it is. lol.

nikon d60

it was quite a rush decision but hey, it was on offer. plus i have always been dreaming of owning one anyway. =)

after hours of mucking around with it, i still don't know where the flash button is. =.=

2.3.09

bahh.

a gush of blood just rushed out of my right nostril when i was still snuggling tightly in bed.

i rushed to the bathroom and stood there,

watching the bright red fluids gushing out into the porcelain white sink.

not knowing what to do because it wouldn't stop flowing.

this sucks. but luckily i'm still alive though.

er. photos will be up soon. thrust me. =P
